The Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines (ASEP) invites earthquake engineering experts and researchers, civil and structural engineers, disaster risk managers, advocates, and academicians to submit abstracts and/or organize a special session for the 6th Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering (6ACEE).

The 6ACEE, with the theme Bridging Theory and Practice in Earthquake Engineering for Enhancing Community Resilience will be held on 22-24 September 2016 at Cebu City, Philippines. This event also marks ASEP’s 55th anniversary and in commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of 2013 Bohol Earthquake.

The three-day conference invites papers that present topics based on the four broad subthemes: Earthquake Engineering and Seismology; Structural Engineering and Seismic Design; Infrastructure Engineering and Earthquake Disaster Risk Reduction; and Disaster Risk Management and Community Resilience.

The deadline of Proposal for special session is on 15 February 2016. Proposals must include the theme of the session and the prospective speakers and title of the papers. Deadline of Abstracts is on 1 March 2016. Abstracts must indicate the contact person and email.

The Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering was previously hosted by the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering and National Taiwan University in 2014; Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2012; Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in 2010, and ASEP in 2006 and 2008.
