Welcome to the May 2015 edition of the AIT Consulting E-Newsletter. The highlights of the month focus on the activities to rebuild Nepal after the recent earthquakes, April 25 and May 12, 2015.

The country remains perilously unstable with the risk of landslides from ongoing aftershocks. Several initiatives and activities were arranged by AIT, AIT Consulting and Habitech, including visits to Nepal to assess how AIT can support the reconstructions and rehabilitation efforts.

AIT Team Visits Nepal after Earthquake

A three-member team from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) comprising of Mr. Gyanendra Sthapit, Director, AIT Habitech Center; Dr. Sangam Shrestha, Associate Professor, Water Engineering and Management, School of Engineering and Technology (SET); and Mr.Karma Rana, Institute Secretary, visited Nepal from 5-11 May 2015.

Charity Event for Nepal Aims to Build Houses using AIT’s Habitech Technology

A fundraising event Heart Quake: Home and Heal organized by Mekong Organization for Mankind (MOM) in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) was held on 24 May 2015 at the newly opened EmQuartier shopping complex to rebuild homes in Nepal using AIT’s Habitech technology.
