On 1st October 2025, The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan (XU) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to enhance cooperation in the field of structural engineering. This collaboration aims to promote technical support and knowledge exchange activities that bridge academia and industry.
AIT Solutions, serving as the focal point from AIT, will work closely with the College of Engineering at XU in the areas of Structural Performance-Based Seismic Design, Wind Engineering, and Structural Health Monitoring. Through this partnership, both institutions will undertake joint research and projects, provide technical mentorship, facilitate access to Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI) academic software licenses, and organize both online and in-person knowledge-sharing activities.
This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of AIT and XU to advancing engineering education and professional practice through innovation, research, and technology-driven learning.
