On 5th & 6th April 2025, AIT Solutions participated in the Seminar on Performance-based Design of Tall Buildings, held at the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. The seminar brought together professionals form academia and industry, with a shared focus on advancing structural engineering practices for tall buildings.
At the seminar, Prof. Pennung Warnitchai, Chair Structural Engineering Program, Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand; Mr. Thaung Htut Aung, Executive Director, AIT Solutions, AIT; Dr. Yogendra Singh, IIT Roorkee; Dr. Teraphan Ornthammarath, Associate Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mahidol University, Thailand; Dr. Naveed Anwar, CEO, CSI Bangkok; and Mr. S.M. Zia Uddin, Coordinator, Wind Engineering & Structural Health Monitoring, AIT Solutions, AIT presented on:
- Wind Effects on Buildings and Structures and Wind Tunnel Model Tests.
- Performance-based Seismic Design of Tall Buildings
- Nonlinear Modelling of RC Buildings for Performance-based Seismic Design
- Seismic Hazard and Deaggregation Analysis for Selected Major Cities in Continental South East Asia
- AI in Structural Design Workflow: Opportunities and Challenges
- Post-earthquake Structural Health Monitoring
The seminar provided an engaging platform for exchange of ideas and exploring collaboration in structural engineering. A big thanks to the speakers, organizers at IIT Roorkee, and the participants for making the seminar a success.
