The SETCOR International Conference on Smart Materials and Surfaces (SMS), to be held on 4-6 February 2014 at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, is pleased to announce its Call for Abstract submission.

The SETCOR International Conference on Smart Materials and Surfaces (SMS) is a three-day event targeted at researchers interested in the design, modification, characterization, and application of novel smart and active surfaces and materials.

The conference themes will focus on the Development and Characterization of Multifunctional and Smart Materials/ Surfaces/ Coatings, Characterizations/ Properties of Active Materials/ Surfaces/ Coatings, and Smart Materials/ Coatings Applications.

The conference will include daily plenary sessions delivered by key international leaders in their field, presentations, oral talks and posters, an exhibition, and networking opportunities. The event represents a powerful and unique opportunity to interact with a range of researchers all interested in creating and applying modified surfaces and materials.

Abstract submissions addressing scientific and industrial developments on any of the conference topics are welcome in the form of an oral presentation or a poster, until 15 November 2013. The Abstract will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee composed of representatives of national and international private and public research and industry. Full conference proceeding papers will be due end of December 2013.
