The Asian Institute of Technology well known for its international environment includes nationals of approximately 50 countries that comprise its 2,600-strong student body and 130-member faculty. More than 17,000 alumni from over 80 countries have graduated from AIT in the last 50 years. From this group of graduates, more than 90 percent remain in the Asian region after graduation and hold positions of influence in the government, education and private industries. This diverse community of alumni is an international network of professionals that establishes contact with key organizations throughout the region. These contacts create opportunities to pool resources, offer guidance, share insight and develop new ideas.

For the purpose of creating opportunities to enhance connectivity, guidance and insight, as well as to develop new ideas; AIT Consulting has been establishing an effective mechanism to draw on this immense pool of resources, many of which are highly regarded specialists in their career fields, and is exploring possibilities of collaboration. In doing so, the organization has been receiving positive responses from many of its Alumni showing interest to collaborate as resource persons/experts for various projects and as associates to jointly undertake projects in their specific areas of expertise and regions. Such an involvement would be beneficial for all concerned and would continue to uplift the connection between AIT alumni and its Alma Mater, the Asian Institute of Technology.
