The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Eight Japan Engineering Consultants Inc. (EJEC) had a meeting on 1 October 2019 in AIT to discuss on the ways AIT and EJEC can work together to provide solutions for bridge engineering projects in Thailand.
During the meeting, EJEC led by Dr. Atushi Mori, Director Senior Executive Officer and Head of Department-Disaster Mitigation and Facility Maintenance Department provided information on their expertise and capability in carrying out bridge engineering projects. AIT led by Dr. Naveed Anwar, Vice President-Knowledge Transfer, Prof. Pennung Warnitchai, Head CIE Department, SET, and Dr. Punchet Thammarak, Lecturer-Structural Engineering Field of Study provided information on the current nature of bridge projects in Thailand as well as AIT’s capability in carrying out bridge engineering projects.
AIT and EJEC agreed to identify research areas specific to bridge engineering that will provide unique solutions to departments/ agencies involved in designing, constructing, and maintaining bridges.
