Central Retail Corporation (CRC), Thailand’s largest retail corporation, held the official grand launch of Central Embassy on February 10th, 2010. Central Embassy is CRC’s first premium multipurpose retail complex built on the prime plot of land previously occupied by the British Embassy. The complex aims to makeover the retail landscape in downtown Bangkok and intends to capitalize on the local retail market rebound, including that in the Ratchaprasong shopping district.
Central Embassy is a 1.5million square foot building that comprises a 7 story retail podium and a 30 story 6 star hotel tower. The official grand launch was held following the stone laying ceremony on 18th January 2011.
With co-consultants Arun Chaiseri Consulting Engineers Co. Ltd., AIT Consulting performed structural system review, development and detailed design services for the Central Embassy project during its development.
