Pulau Muara Besar (PMB) is an island in Brunei Bay that will be transformed into a contemporary port with state-of-the-art industrial facilities. The masterplan consists of a modern deep water container terminal, export processing zone, manufacturing hub with commercial facilities & services, and a bridge linking the island to Muara town.
Jurusy Perunding, Brunei engaged the services of AIT Consulting, Asian Institute of Technology to provide the detailed design of road crossing culvert and design review of Pulau Muara Besar Bridge.
The scope of work involves: Review of the structural drawings provided by the client; carry out analysis of the bridge structure and components, using all applicable demands including moving load analysis, wind load analysis, seismic analysis; modeling of soil and structure using appropriate computer tools; conduct the detailed design of culvert; and provide the structural detail for report and construction.
