Dr. Naveed Anwar, Executive Director, AIT Solutions, visited the NIC Lahore at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) during his official trip to Pakistan in January. Dr. Naveed met with Mr. Faisal Jalil Sherjan, Director Operations of NIC Lahore (formerly LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship) one of the largest, if not the top, accelerators in Pakistan. Dr. Naveed and Mr. Faisal discussed how National Incubation Center (NIC) Lahore and Innovation Lab [ilab] at AIT Solutions could collaborate in mutually-aligned areas. The visit was very useful as Dr. Naveed learned a lot from NIC Lahore particularly on how ilab could expand its initiatives in the future.
Dr. Naveed also paid courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor of LUMS Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi whom he first met when the Vice Chancellor was still the Executive Director of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. Prof. Dr. S. Sohail H. Naqvi visited AIT in 2006 to sign an agreement to fund 60 engineering master’s students from Pakistan.
