A two-day event Collaboration for Innovation will be held on 12-13 May 2016 at the AIT Conference Center, Thailand to nurture and promote collaboration among academia, industry, public and development sector by identifying key research and projects with potential of being converted to applied solutions, services, or products.

The event is being organized by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) through AIT Solutions in collaboration with strategic partners the National Housing Authority (NHA), Thailand, Technology Management Center Office of Science and Technology (ITAP-TMC), Siam Cement Group (SCG), Betagro, Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) India.

Parallel technical sessions will be held in the afternoon focusing on the following themes: Affordable Housing, Capacity Building and Skill Development, Disaster Risk Reduction and Mitigation, Food and Agriculture, Green Energy, Infrastructure and Buildings, Logistics and Supply Chain, Robotics and Automation, and Software Development and IT. Each strategic collaborator will also present during the session that represents its area of expertise.

Day 1 will be attended by special guests from government and development agencies who will share their insight through key note speeches.  Shortlisted finalists for the AIT Research Competition will also present their ideas to compete for the top three spot. Day 2 will focus on industrial development through innovation with keynote speeches from SCG, TMC (ITAP), and AIT.

Solution Clinics, led by ITAP and AIT Solutions will take place on both days, to facilitate one-on-one consultative dialogue between pre-registered participants and experts to identify key issues and conduct initial assessment of R&D or solution scope of work.

Participants will also have exclusive access to the research and solutions generated by the AIT Research Competition and faculty research initiatives and expertise through the exhibition display on both days.
