The seventh international conference on Construction in the 21st Century (CITC VII) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand this coming 19-21 December 2013. CITC conferences are recognized as regular meeting points for multi-disciplinary teams involved in engineering, management, and technology encouraging knowledge exchanges, interdisciplinary integration, and international cooperation. As an international forum for addressing topics important to developing new knowledge in construction and engineering disciplines, participants are provided opportunities to keep abreast of the changing situations pertaining to the theory and practice of the field while presenting platforms to create important new networks and strengthen professional linkages.

CITC VII is a three-day event highlighted by keynotes, talks, and parallel sessions designed to broadly cover the primary construction challenges in the 21st century. This year’s keynote speech on the Design and Construction of Tall Buildings – Innovations and Developments and Management will be delivered by Dr. Naveed Anwar, Executive Director of AIT Consulting, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Dr. Naveed Anwar also oversees the Asian Center for Engineering Computations and Software (ACECOMS) as Director and continues to teach structural engineering at the School of Engineering and Technology, both situated at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).
