On 19-21 December 2013, The East Carolina University (ECU), U.S.A.; Auburn University (AU), U.S.A.; and Florida International University (FIU), U.S.A. will organize the seventh International Conference on Construction in the Twenty First Century (CITC) in Bangkok, Thailand.

CITC Conferences aim to facilitate communication between multi-disciplinary teams involved in engineering, management, and technology and address different perspectives in the construction industry in an effort to better understand and improve the construction industry in the twenty-first century.

CITC-VII, themed “Challenges in Innovation, Integration, and Collaboration in Construction and Engineering” will provide an international forum for the discussion of topics on Construction Project Management and Construction Technology, which are important to developing new knowledge in construction and engineering disciplines.

The conference will attract professionals in academia and research, practicing and consulting engineers/architects, construction industry professionals, public/private sector managers, builders, policy makers, assessors, certification and funding bodies, and government officials concerned with projects and programs in construction.

The Previous CITC-VI, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in July 2011 was attended by 150 participants from 30 different countries and published over 160 papers during the conference proceedings. The conference provided an excellent forum for discussing diverse issues facing the construction industry with a broad scope covering wide ranging topics on construction project management, cost engineering and financial issues, Information technology and information systems in construction, construction technology, among others.
