The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) will offer a two-week summer program for undergraduate and graduate students who are dedicated on pursuing an international career in engineering, technology, environment, development, and management fields.

 

Staying true to its mission to develop highly qualified and committed professionals who will play a leading role in the sustainable development of the region and its integration into the global economy AIT helps the human resource development needs of developing countries in Asia by nurturing the skills of their future leaders.

 

Participants will have a chance to enrich their knowledge and skills in the overall concept of sustainability, be well-informed of the advances and applications in engineering, technology, environment, development, and management, and work in an international atmosphere and upgrade their communication skills.

 

AIT faculty, staff, students, and invited experts will deliver lectures, introduction to academic and research work at AIT, in the following fields: Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (CIE), Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT), Industrial System Engineering of School of Engineering and Technology (SET); Sustainable Food Production, Technology, and Management (SFPTM), Energy and Environment (EE), and Society, Resources, and Development (SRD) of School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD); and Entrepreneurship, Technology Management, Sustainable Business, Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Strategy, International Management of School of Management (SOM).

 

The Program, scheduled from 23 June to 7 July 2014, will include hands-on training and on-site visits. The program fee of 2000 USD includes accommodation in/near campus, meals, course materials, field visits, airport pickup and drop-off, and medical insurance and exclusive of air tickets, visa fees, and other personal expenses.
