A record number of 38 companies, mostly Thai firms and several industry recruiters from Vietnam and Malaysia joined the bi-annual AIT Career fair held early November.

Prof. I. M. Pandey, Vice President for Academic Affairs, welcomed the various company representatives to AIT and thanked all of the organizers, including the many student volunteers. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that academic-industry interface – exemplified by events such as the career fair – is the culmination of activities at AIT.  Employability of AIT graduates, he said, is at the heart of AIT academics which are “grounded in practice.”

The career fair offered a full range of job placement availabilities, internship opportunities, as well as information on long-term career prospects, on-the-job training, research partners, and opportunities for networking with attending company representatives. The fair was held at the ground level of the AIT Conference Center and attracted a healthy number of AIT students interested in job possibilities and internships.

AIT Consulting was among the companies who joined the Career Fair to recruit future employees and showcase the organization’s projects and activities to the broader AIT Community. The booth, managed by Mrs. Clarisa Cuares Lagura, Human Resource Manager and Mrs. Olga Shipina, Marketing Officer, was visited by over 100 job seekers and inquiring students.
